Porn Sunday


Pornography is everywhere today. There are actually more adult bookstores and movie rental places than there are McDonalds restaurants. In the last 8 years the porn industry has exploded because of the internet. But what is the big deal? Making or viewing porn is not illegal, unless there are minors involved. The actors and actresses get paid, its their job. Why do our significant others get so worked up when they learn we watch porn? Why do we secretly watch it if it should be ok?

Most people watch porn for one of two reasons:
  1. to masterbate
  2. to enhance the experience with their partner
On the surface nothing may seem wrong with either of these activities but are there hidden dangers? In this message we will explore some of the underlying dangers of porn. We will explore the addictive side of porn and see that porn is a 'gateway drug' to many more sexual experiences. We will even uncover how porn can ruin you appetite for sex.

    I think porn may be helpful in finding ways to spice your sex life with your spouse. Any addiction is hurtful to you and people around you. An addiction to porn is hurtful because it can take attention away from your spouse and your sex life together.

    I think Porn is a gateway. Initially in a relationship, it may be helpful, to create a mood. But later, it is definitely hurtful because the intimacy at home is changed from me and him to him and the videos!!!

    If people did not want what they saw when they viewed porn and masturbated then they would not be stimulated by what they saw. Deep down when you see a beautiful person or a provocative scene most times we imagine that it is us in the scene.
